The only things I love more than yoga itself are the must-haves that I keep in my gym/yoga bag. My yoga bag essentials are what help me get through a sweaty gym sesh or a yoga class, without looking and feeling like a hot mess.
Square Organics Protein Bar: These protein bars are my favourite snack for whenever I’m on the go. A few of my favourites are the chocolate coated cookie dough and the chocolate coated nuts and sea salt protein bars. (P.S: use code “THELIFEOFASHLEY” for 20% off your entire order!)
Insulated Water Bottle: My S’well bottle is my go-to water bottle to keep in my yoga bag because 1) it’s double insulated, so there’s no condensation on the outside of the bottle, 2) it keeps my water cold for hours and hours, and 3) well, it’s just so pretty! A few of my other favourite water bottles include this CamelBak water bottle and this S’ip by S’well water bottle.
A Small Pouch: I usually carry about $15 cash, extra hair ties, chapstick and my phone in this pouch. That way, they are all in one place and are easy to find if I ever need them. If I’m going to the gym, I’ll stick my headphones in my small pouch too.
Light Weight Yoga Mat: I prefer light-weight yoga mats mainly because they are easier to carry around. The yoga mat I currently own is a VS PINK mat that I got on sale. Unfortunately, it is no longer available but I am currently loving the lululemon Reversible Lightweight Travel Mat as well as the Gaiam Reversible yoga mats. (P.S: Keep your eyes peeled for a fun Gaiam Canada giveaway coming up! & use the code “ASHLEY18” for 20% off all Gaiam Canada orders!)
Face Wipes/Facial Mist: There’s nothing more refreshing than a facial mist after a sweaty gym session or a hot yoga class. I carry these cleansing wipes from The Body Shop and am really wanting to try the Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray.
A Sweat Towel: A small towel is a must for me, for any gym or yoga class. Sweat towels keep me from slipping and sliding on my yoga mat, and I use them mostly for my hands or my forehead. Can be found on lululemon, Gaiam, as well as Amazon.
Now it’s your turn! What’s in your yoga bag? I’d love to hear from you, and please let me know if I’m missing anything! Thank you for reading, have a start to the week!
